Windows

How to install on Windows

Run the installer, then open Globulation 2. For the portable edition, extract the entire ZIP before launching glob2.exe.

macOS

Choose the build for your Mac. Check Apple menu → About This Mac for its chip or processor.

Open the DMG, drag Glob2 to Applications, then open it from Applications.

Linux

Flatpak is the first choice across distributions. Other packages list their own requirements.

    Install this Flatpak
    1. Follow the Flatpak setup instructions for your distribution ↗, including adding the Flathub runtime repository.
    2. Download the bundle above, then open a terminal in the folder containing it and run:
      flatpak install --user ./glob2.flatpak
flatpak run --user org.globulation2.Globulation2

    Installation may also download the required GNOME runtime. After installation, you can launch Globulation 2 from your applications menu.

    To update the game, download the newer bundle and run its install command again. These direct bundles do not configure automatic game updates.

How to install on Linux

For Flatpak, follow the installation steps next to its download. For a downloaded Snap, install snapd, then run sudo snap install --dangerous ./PACKAGE.snap with the downloaded filename. Tarballs include INSTALL.txt with installation steps and system-library requirements; use your distribution’s package manager for RPMs.
